A beautiful and foggy way to end the year...

As a general rule, I love fog...or really any interesting weather.

Since the weather has been wacky, the atmosphere has also been wacky.  I don't understand how it all works, but I have enjoyed observing how it changes the world.

Winter Wonder

I love winter. 

 Although, I don't care to feel cold.

  When we are lucky

 Winter is otherworldly

and breathtaking and beautiful

and it makes us want to make soup 

and wear cozy things

and to look up...into the Universe

 We have had some crazy frost 

which makes the world even more magical

  Ugly seems impossible 

when the landscape is white and soft 

and glowing.

Oops...A Pony Whim

So...I bought the kids a pony for Christmas.  I may  very well be in over my head.  This will be a huge learning experience for us, as the children and I know NOTHING about horses and the like.  However...'Tina' is adorable and sweet and social and gentle and playful.
And we love her.

But...Now that I have set such a precedent...what in the world will I do next Christmas?
Perhaps A unicorn...
